The Riddle

The glazier’s finest glittering plate
Is stored high up where I cannot reach it
But every morn at half-past eight
He takes it down to wipe and wash it

He isn’t very careful putting it away
As he chips a new piece off it every day
And I think before a couple weeks are done
His glittering, glassy plate will all be gone

(He’ll have to make himself another one)

I'm not sure whether this qualifies entirely as a riddle, since it is not the speaker that must be guessed but what the speaker describes therein, but I think it comes close, and it was quite fun to put together. :) As usual with my riddles, please guess via note so that others are able to guess as well.

And if you love riddles and want to guess some more, try my other ones. :D Enjoy!

Hm... I have an idea but I'm not sure if it's potentially correct or just the first stupid thing that came to my mind when I read this... Sweating a little...
