The Riddle

Lone on the hilltop with bare feet stand I,
Tranquil and strong as I look to the sky.
List’ to my whispers; hear the hoarse sound.
See my bent fingers, by harsh sunlight browned.
Though, mottled and wrinkled, my skin waxes old,
Glance upward: my hair is not silver, but gold.

This reminds me of LOTR. We love Tolkien, and my sister especially adores C.S. Lewis' Chronicles of Narnia. I never got the charge of happiness from those, I preferred Tolkien's Lord of the Rings, but that's just me. I don't read a lot.... I'd just rather spend all of my free time drawing! ;P But after being FORCED to read all of the LOTR, I found that they weren't so bad-simply, rather long....;) I love this poem, it made me think of the words: bittersweet, lonely, achievment, happiness, sadness, tranquility and serenity, heaven, and last breath. ^^; Beautiful was another word to describe this poem, but also to describe you! :D  Thank you for writing so beautifully, it all seems to come from your heart, which in every way is a wonderful thing! :D -Kay
